New dates announced for funded IT training

Tuesday 12 September 2017 9.52am

Hoople Training and Education is continuing to offer free IT training to small and medium sized businesses based in Herefordshire. Thanks to funding via the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), the training covers basic to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Access. Both City and Guilds and Hoople accredited courses are available.

New dates have been announced for courses running between now and March 2018. These will be held at the company’s training centre in Hereford, which has recently been upgraded to include an IT training suite with 26 computer workstations. Alternatively, companies can opt for in-house courses (subject to a minimum number of six delegates).

Herefordshire based organisations have already benefited from the free training. Andrew Bailey, Finance Director at Chroma Therapies in Ross-on-Wye says: “It is important to ensure that all staff have the appropriate skill sets for their positions which is why we were pleased to enrol two of our employees for Excel and Access training with Hoople. Not only did they return with increased knowledge about the applications, but they also had the confidence to use that knowledge to improve existing processes and develop new ones.”

Fully funded training opportunities are also available in a range of courses targeted at the health and social care sector.

To be eligible for funding, participants must be employed within small to medium sized organisations (fewer than 250 employees) and based within Herefordshire. They will also be required to complete an Organisational Training Needs Analysis form, with which Hoople staff can assist.
