Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HC7)
Responsible for delivering Outdoor Education with some PPA cover
The Trustees and Headteacher of this warm and nurturing school are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to plan and deliver outdoor education including Forest Schools/ D of E or similar alongside some class cover.
An exciting opportunity now exists for an ambitious and empathetic professional to join us as we work with vulnerable pupils from across the county. The successful candidate will have a passion for the welfare of young people and will help provide a high quality engaging and safe working environment for all of our pupils.
You will work closely with a team of staff helping to ensure positive outcomes for all students. Our team of Higher Level Teaching Assistants work closely with the Senior Leadership Team in developing bespoke packages to develop pupils’ wellbeing, alongside some teaching cover in either the primary or secondary departments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering outdoor education across the school including linking with outside provision, forest schools and Duke of Edinburgh. Training in Forest Schools provision can be provided if necessary but someone with a passion for learning outdoors and developing young people is essential.
This post carries a requirement for an Enhanced disclosure (under the provisions of the Police Act 1997). The school will require you to give permission to carry out a disclosure.
