Admissions Secretary / Administration Assistant

Part-time 22.5 hours per week

Annual salary £17,771.22 to £18,717.06 pro-rata term-time plus inset/development days and some work during school holiday periods. 

This salary is currently under review.

Actual earnings £9,280.90 per annum plus membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and additional benefits.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Admissions Secretary/Administration Assistant at this school.  To succeed in this role you will need to demonstrate innovative thinking and exceptional organisational skills.  Ideally you will have NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification, and at least two years’ previous experience of work preferably within a busy school environment.  You will have a comprehensive knowledge and experience of office administration protocol and procedures. 

You will also require excellent communication and IT skills particularly with regards to Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.  A detailed knowledge of SIMS, the Schools Information Management System, would be an advantage. 


You must have the ability to deal with a variety of people and situations (both personally and on the telephone) and have a flexible approach to work.  You will need to be a team player who is enthusiastic and willing to contribute positively to the success of SAH.  You will need to be articulate with excellent communication skills.
