Home based working with requirement to travel in the community of Herefordshire

Joining Crossroads Together will give you the opportunity to work as part of a skilled and knowledgeable team working to make the voices of carers heard. The CarerLinks service is  commissioned  by Herefordshire Council and is dedicated to delivering a high quality and safe service to unpaid carers of all ages across the county. Caring for someone you love can be very rewarding, but it can also have an impact on emotional, physical and financial wellbeing. We want to make sure carers can access the support and information they need to continue caring and as a charity we have over 25 years’ experience.  


Networking and engaging with carers is key to the CarerLinks service, we are looking for a

self-motivated, enthusiastic, well organised and confident person to take on the role of

Engagement Link. This is a new role and an exciting opportunity to work with the Carer

Advisor team and support them in their role to  support carers. The Engagement Link will play a significant role in increasing carer referrals, networking with professionals to promote the CarerLinks service and working with the Marketing Team to raise awareness on carer issues.


About you: 

  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Experience of using IT packages including, word, excel
  • Experience with monitoring and reporting outcomes
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
  • Good understanding of carers issues 
  • Ability to travel across locations and work flexible to meet the needs of the services
  • Ability to motivate others to meet deadlines
  • Ability to effectively manage the performance of others eg. Volunteers
  • Ability to develop and promote positive working relationships with customers, professional and colleagues
