ECHO is a charity mainly working with people with moderate or severe learning difficulties. We also support people with mental health needs or who have physical or sensory impairments. ECHO runs 28 different activities each week in community settings across Herefordshire. We are based at 40 West Street, Leominster where we have a shop with offices above. About Face was established in 1995 and is ECHO’s flagship project. 

 

Due to increasing demand for places, About Face now runs over 5 days/week. On each day we work with actors with different abilities, experience and support needs.

 

Fridays is the Drama and Stage Craft Day. As well as working on acting skills, participants have a chance to learn about script writing, make props, costumes and scenery.

 

The person appointed will work with up to 8 actors with learning disabilities and be supported by the company theatre assistant.

 

The role is for 9 hours per week. The hours to be worked will be Friday 9.am. – 4.pm. plus an additional 2 hours to be worked flexibly. You will be based at the premises of About Face Theatre Company in Leominster.  Previous experience of working with disabled people essential, plus experience of theatre and drama.
