The University has recently opened a facility at the Hereford Cyber Centre and we are looking for a Building Manager to oversee the management and running of the premises. This site is a standalone facility in the area but is a key strategic location for the University of Wolverhampton, as a result of travel to other locations will be required.

In this varied and dynamic role, you will be responsible for the liaison, management of, and financial accountability for the provision of full Facilities Management Services, be that through direct or third-party delivery. As a result, you will need to be able to demonstrate that you have experience of managing direct employees, third party contracts, dispute resolution, financial planning, adhering to all statutory compliance and governance and IT proficient.

You will be required to work closely with colleagues at other locations within wider  University of Wolverhampton, as well as external stakeholders and tenants’ therefore the demonstration of key attributes such as; directing and motivation both yourself and others, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a flexible approach to work and the ability to prioritise demanding workload and identify areas for continuous development within your areas of management and delivery.  You will be enthusiastic by meeting targets and deadlines, pursuing excellence in all that you manage, being able to work upon your initiative whilst also being a key player within a wider University team.
