Start Date: Monday 17th November, or as soon as possible

Hours: 21.75 hours per week (17.25 hours Nursery Assistant, 4.5 hours After School Club Supervisor)

Salary: Nursery Assistant 03HC (£9.62 per hour) £7,231 to £7,375 per year

After School Club Supervisor 04HC (£9.81 per hour) £1,924 to £2,001 per year

Luston Primary School is looking for an experienced member of staff to join our Nursery team. Working with the Headteacher and Nursery Supervisor, the successful candidate will enhance a highly successful Early Years’ team.

We are looking for someone who:

  • • Has a passion for Early Years’ education,
  • • Is able to work closely with the Nursery Supervisor,
  • • Has a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum,
  • • Can promote the work of the nursery within the community,
  • • Has the ability to form good working relationships with parents and the wider school community,
  • • Is highly motivated and able to act on their own initiative,
  • • Is able to demonstrate excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and will be able to communicate with and motivate children effectively,
  • • Is patient, good humoured and flexible,
  • • Enjoys being part of a hardworking and committed team,
  • • Experience of using Tapestry,
  • • An ability to implement activities that reflect the EYFS curriculum,
  • • An ability to write reports and assessments,
  • • An ability to lead an After School Club Session, and organise activities for the children, on 2 afternoons per week,
  • • NVQ Level 3 qualification required
