Temporary Teaching Assistant – Level 1 – River Wye Federation based at Weston-under-Penyard Primary School - Fixed term contract until 31st March 2021

Interview Date:               week commencing 20th July 2020

Starting Date:                 1st September 2020

Salary:                              £8,133.16 - £8,295.68 per annum


Hours: 20 per week term time only (38 weeks of the year) 

Hours would ideally be as follows:

Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 12:30pm

On behalf of the Governing Body of Weston-Under-Penyard Primary School, Hoople are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to work with our growing team of staff and children. The chosen candidate will also be able to contribute to the ethos, high expectations and Christian values of the school.


As a Teaching Assistant you will: 

  • Have experience of working with EYFS/KS1 children

  • Work directly with children across the school to provide feedback and support

  • Liaise with the class teacher responsible for the progress of individual children

  • Be able to take the initiative within a small team

  • Have experience of working with children across the primary range

  • Have excellent personal English and maths skills
