Job details
The post is based at Westfield School, all through SEND 2 – 19 years, specialist provision based in Leominster. We are committed to creating a family atmosphere, where people are valued for their uniqueness. Westfield School is recognised by OFSTED as a good school where ‘pupils thrive’ in ‘a calm and purposeful learning environment’ (October 2023).
Due to a combination of circumstances, an opportunity has arisen to join our team, on a fixed term basis, where you will be one of a team of colleagues who make a difference to the lives of the children and young people, helping them to succeed personally, academically and socially. We are proud to employ passionate and committed staff who deliver high-quality education, care and therapy for our pupils and young people.
Working in small class sizes, we deploy a wide range of teaching and learning strategies to engage and support the overall progress of our learners. As a teaching assistant, you will have a passion for working with young people of all ages, to help them achieve their full potential; you should also be confident in supporting a range of behaviours.
Westfield School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and wellbeing of children and young people and requires all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Any offer of employment will be subject to evidence of eligibility to work in the UK, an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), medical clearance and references that recommend the candidate without reservation.
