About the role

As the Family Engagement Co-Ordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the holistic development of our pupils by building strong, trusting relationships with families, staff and external agencies. You will lead on parental engagement, attendance, safeguarding and transitions, ensuring that our pupils, many with complex needs, receive the coordinated support they deserve.

• Leading on and improving attendance, including targeted interventions and home visits
• Coordinating smooth and supportive transitions for pupils at key stages
• Working collaboratively with staff, therapists, social care and external professionals
• Delivering workshops and support sessions for parents and carers
About you
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience working with children and families in education, social care or a related setting
• Has strong knowledge of safeguarding and SEND
• Can build positive, non-judgemental relationships with families
• Is highly organised, resilient and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Is committed to improving outcomes for children with complex needs

Requirements:
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Relevant Level 4 qualification (or above) in a related field (e.g. Health and Social Care, Child Development) or willingness to work towards this
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional evenings
• An enhanced DBS check is required
