The governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant initially within a Key Stage 2 class.   This role also incorporates some lunchtime cover.  

Holmer C E Academy invites applications for an enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team. We are seeking a caring individual who has a genuine passion for  education and possesses the skills to foster a nurturing learning environment for our pupils.

The role:
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, Teaching Assistant who:

• Enjoys working with children and has high expectations for their behaviour, and personal development.
• Is a strong communicator and team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
• The post holder will assist the classroom teacher and work with small groups of children in Year 5 initially, to support their learning needs.
• Values the Christian ethos of our academy and fosters a caring and supportive environment
• Provide a safe and supportive environment for children to learn.
• Has a good understanding of the Literacy and Mathematics curriculum
• will work closely with the class teacher to ensure that the needs of all children are met effectively.

Holmer Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and it is important that all applicants support the school’s policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
