JMHS is seeking to appoint a Handyperson who will work closely with the School Business Manager and Site Team.

The main purpose is to assist with minor maintenance and upkeep of school buildings and grounds, and support with general caretaking tasks.

You will be required to:

  • carry out minor maintenance and improvements of school buildings i.e. minor repairs, painting;
  • carpentry work as instructed by the School Business Manager or Site Manager;
  • carry out minor maintenance of the school grounds (e.g. clear and tidy kerbs, repair fences);
  • act as a keyholder on occasions where delegated by the School Business Manager.

The ideal candidate will have sound practical skills as evidenced by previous work experience and be able to undertake jobs with the minimum of supervision.
