Kingstone & Thruxton Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, well-motivated and dedicated cleaner to work alongside and under the direction of the Estates team to carry out daily cleaning duties across our Primary school.

It would be ideal if the successful candidate has:

·         A commitment to providing a clean and pleasant environment for pupils and staff

·         An understanding and perception of the need for a high standard of cleanliness in schools.

·         A thorough approach to cleaning and the storage of cleaning materials.

·         The ability to work effectively with other cleaning staff and managers.

·         The ability to work in support of the ethos of the school.

·         Previous experience of working in a cleaning role would be an advantage.

Visits to the school by prior appointment are warmly welcomed.

Kingstone Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
