Located in the town of Bromyard, Herefordshire, we are an 11-16 academy having converted in 2011. Set amidst spectacular scenery with stunning views of the Malvern Hills and even the Black Mountains on a clear day, the town of Bromyard is only 20 minutes from Hereford and 25 minutes from Worcester, making it close enough to the major transport networks to commute by road and rail.
QEHS has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, energetic and innovative Teacher of RE/Citizenship and PSHE to join our highly successful team of mutually supportive colleagues whose shared purpose is to inspire and challenge all students at QEHS.
The successful candidate will:
• Be up to date with subject specific pedagogical approaches in RE, PSHE and Citizenship
• Be knowledgeable of local and national policy and practice in RE, PSHE and Citizenship
• Have experience of teaching all or a combination of RE, PSHE/RSHE and Citizenship
• Be willing to attend and engage in subject specific CPD
• Have high expectations of all students at all times
• Play a full part in the life of the school community, support the Trust and school mission and ethos and encourage staff and students to follow this example
The successful candidate is required for September 2024. We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and ECs (full induction and mentoring package for ECTs). Visits to the school, prior to application forms being completed, are highly desirable and encouraged.
Three Counties Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
