Three Counties Academy Trust (TCAT) includes the Queen Elizabeth High School, St Peter's Primary School, Bredenbury Primary School and Stoke Prior Primary School.
TCAT are looking to appoint an organised and proactive Finance Assistant with excellent bookkeeping skills to work in our friendly Trust offices. School experience is not necessary but a good working knowledge of accounts processes is essential. The ideal candidate will have a good eye for detail, be organised, pro-active and able to problem solve. You will be a good communicator who can work independently, as well as part of a wider team and will be responsible for the daily processing of all financial transactions for the Trust. You will also support school budget holders, other colleagues and stakeholders with requests, training and queries regarding purchases, payments, trips and other activities.
The successful candidate(s) will have:
- Good general communication skills
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
- Ability to respond to correspondence, whether by email, fax or letter. This may involve drafting letters to later sign, or responding independently within certain perimeters
- Ability to administer and process orders and invoices
- Ability to raise invoices
- Ability to investigate anomalies/overspends and underspends and advise fund holders of balances
- Ability to correspond with suppliers regarding enquiries, invoices, etc.
- Ability to maintain petty cash records and use to make local payments and keep records of expenditure
- Ability to maintain accurate records of income
