This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and who thrives in a nurturing, inclusive school environment. As a key member of our staff team, you will work closely with the Year 6 class teacher to deliver targeted support aimed at raising attainment in reading, writing and mathematics. You will provide structured interventions, work with individuals and small groups, and help pupils close gaps in learning so they feel confident and well-prepared for end-of-year expectations.

Key Responsibilities
• Targeted support for Year 6 pupils to help raise attainment in core subjects
• Deliver small-group interventions in reading, writing and maths
• Work 1:1 with pupils who require additional guidance or reinforcement
• Support classroom learning through modelling, scaffolding and guided practice
• Assist with assessment by monitoring progress and feeding back to the class teacher
• Promote independence, resilience and positive learning behaviours
• Contribute to a calm, purposeful learning environment where all pupils feel valued and supported

What We Are Looking For
• A caring, patient and proactive individual with a genuine passion for supporting children
• Experience working in a primary school setting (desirable)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• Confidence delivering structured interventions and following teacher-led plans
• A commitment to inclusion and supporting pupils with a range of needs
• A team player who is flexible, reliable and eager to learn

What We Offer
• A warm, welcoming and highly inclusive school community
• Supportive colleagues and strong leadership
• Opportunities for professional development within HMFA
• A chance to make a meaningful difference to Year 6 outcomes

HMFA is committed to the protection and safety of its pupils and therefore all candidates will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check at Enhanced Level. HMFA is an equal opportunities employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
