Are you an EMHP, CWP or registered professional? Are you passionate about empowering children and young people? Due to expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen within the Herefordshire Wellbeing and Emotional Support Team (WEST). Working across several aligned primary and secondary schools you will be instrumental in increasing access to mental health support for children and young people.

We are a supportive team and you will be given a full induction with shadowing, alongside development and training opportunities. Registered professionals will be supported to develop Low-Intensity CBT skills. Other benefits include relocation package, Car Salary Sacrifice Scheme, travel expenses (car driver essential).

Working Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm, your day may include:

  • Delivering Low-Intensity CBT interventions with children, young people and parents
  • Delivering workshops, staff training and assemblies. Providing advice to teaching staff
  • Regular case management, clinical skills, line management supervision and CPD

We are a busy team, covering 38 schools and expanding into higher education colleges in Herefordshire. You will be delivering low intensity CBT interventions (1:1 or group) in your aligned schools as well as delivering Whole School Approach activities, keeping the CYP at the heart of everything you do.

Under the support of operational lead, clinical lead and senior practitioners you will manage a caseload of patients and complete assessments, care plans and other relevant documentation whilst maintaining the fidelity of the low intensity CBT model.

An understanding of risk management and safeguarding is imperative for this role, and you will be supported with managing this within the team.

You will also receive regular case management and clinical skills supervision to support you clinically as well as participate in MDT/screening meetings.

You will work closely with families, school staff and other professions and at times deliver consultations and signposting advice to other agencies. Thus, strong interpersonal skills are key.

It is essential that candidates can meet the travel requirements commitments of the post.
