Almeley Primary is a successful, vibrant, rural village school and with our nursery, children learn in a positive, caring and inclusive environment, to become independent and responsible thinkers, and valued members of our community.
As we develop a closer relationship with The Orchards MAT under the CEO Alex Davies, our governors wish to appoint an inspirational Head of School who is able to:
● show experience and commitment to the safeguarding of children and the mental, physical and emotional wellbeing of children and staff
● demonstrate a passion for education and a desire to improve the life chances of all children.
● build on the existing strengths of the school to drive all round excellence in teaching and learning.
● show demonstrable experience and enthusiastic commitment to classroom teaching
● create and lead a strong team and to inspire and enable the staff to trust in their vision
● develop an ambitious curriculum that drives priorities identified in the school improvement plan and provides enrichment for all children.
● foster and strengthen relationships with other schools and the wider community as the school moves towards academization
● maintain and develop the school’s ethos of diversity, inclusivity, and equality of opportunity.
● ensure the school environment is caring and respectful with high expectations of children’s behaviour.
● demonstrate successful experience in senior leadership as an Assistant or Deputy Head, or Head of school.
