Cover Supervisor

Our governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Cover Supervisor to support our learners across the federation of schools. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the necessary skills and enthusiasm to provide short term cover supervision of lessons as required.
We are looking for an individual with excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and the flexibility and skills to support students with learning when their class teachers are absent.
We would be interested in hearing from you if:

You have previous experience of working with children of secondary and primary school age;
•
You have enthusiasm and a strong commitment to achievement, safeguarding and welfare of all children;
•
You have excellent communication skills;
•
You have a sense of humour and the ability to inject fun into learning;
•
You have high expectations of pupil behaviour and excellent behaviour management skills;
•
You are flexible, accommodating and a team player; and
•
You have relevant qualifications for the role. Aylestone school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
