The Governors and Headteacher are seeking to appoint an inspirational and talented Pastoral Mentor who will work as a key member of the SEN support team. The staff member will provide a bridge between pastoral care, teaching and SEND provision.

The successful candidate will have a passion for the welfare of young people, be willing to go the extra mile, have a deep-seated desire to make a difference to young people and will help provide a high quality engaging and safe working environment for all students. They will lead on aspects of pastoral SEND support and SEMH intervention, contribute to strategic planning, and act as a key point of contact for colleagues, families and external agencies.
The successful candidate will:
• have previous experience of working with children
• have enthusiasm and a strong commitment to achievement, safeguarding and welfare of all children
• have excellent communication skills
• have a sense of humour
• have high expectations of student behaviour
• be flexible, accommodating and a team player
• be able to provide pastoral support and mentoring to students with SEND and SEMH needs, including 1:1 and small group interventions including ELSA, Zones of regulation or Thrive frameworks.
