Clifford Primary school is situated in the beautiful rural corner of Herefordshire, at the end of the Golden Valley, 3 miles from Hay- on- Wye and close to the Black Mountains.

Job details

We are looking for:

·          To be able to deliver quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.

·          Providing comprehensive care for the children.

·          Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.

·          Administering first aid when necessary.

·          Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.

·          Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.

·          Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure.

·          Working within the framework of the club's policies and procedures.

The successful applicant should preferably have:

·          A calm and kind manner.

·          An ability to be organised and work under pressure.

·          Experience of working in a school or with children.

·          An ability to follow instructions as well as to work on their own initiative.

·          Good literacy and numeracy skills.

·          A commitment to meeting the needs of all pupils.

Clifford Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the school is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
