The Governors would like to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a 1-2 basis with two children in Year 2 in need of additional learning support.
We will be offering a fixed-term contract that is linked to the children.
We are looking for:
· Experience in working 1:1 with a child with additional and complex needs.
· The ability to work alongside teachers and other colleagues from outside agencies
· A commitment to inclusive practice and ability to support a child with special educational needs in all learning activities.
· To work confidentially, efficiently and on their own initiative.
· Flexibility, resilience and the ability to work as part of a team under the direction of the SENCO and class teacher.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Ability to deliver the child’s intervention programmes maintaining careful progress records and providing feedback to the class teacher.
· Willingness to attend meetings and training.
