Eardisley CE Primary School is a popular rural school set in an idyllic Herefordshire village. It provides children with firm foundations based on a strong Christian ethos which permeates everything that we do, striving to offer all its pupils every opportunity to live life in all its fullness.
The Governors of Eardisley CE Primary School are looking to appoint a kind and capable SEND Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, values-based village school team. We are looking for someone who is able to work under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO to support an individualised curriculum and give in-class support as required. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the class Teaching Assistant and one other SEND Teaching Assistant.
We are looking for:
- Experience working within EYFS/KS1
- An ability to empathise and work constructively developing positive relationships with children
- Excellent communication skills
- To support children with special educational needs in all learning activities, within and outside the classroom
- Support for individual children's intervention programmes maintaining careful progress records and providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCo
- Engagement of children in play activities at break times
- Support with children's personal care needs as necessary including toileting
- Attendance at meetings and training
- A sense of humour!
