Earl Mortimer College seeks to appoint a KS3 Science Co-ordinator to join our team of creative, supportive and dynamic staff. The core purpose of the role is to support the Head of Science in providing professional leadership and strategic direction for the teaching and learning of science throughout the school to secure high quality teaching and learning for all.

What you’ll need to succeed:

·         Be a qualified teacher of Science (QTS status) with exemplary subject knowledge

·         Be passionate and enthusiastic about teaching and learning

·         Have a positive outlook and excellent interpersonal skills

·         Demonstrate outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour

·         Be able to deliver a creative and stimulating curriculum to a high standard, enabling our students to achieve their best possible outcomes

·         Be able to co-ordinate internal assessments at KS3

·         Lead Monitoring and Evaluation of Teaching and Learning across KS3 in Science

·         Lead the transition from KS2 to KS3

·         A willingness to participate in continuous professional development opportunities to maximise your pedagogical knowledge

·         Be willing to contribute to the values, ethos and the development of our school
