GEM Hereford is an independent co-educational school which provides meaningful, bespoke education within a supportive learning environment.
Our school caters for students from Key Stage 2, 3 & 4 with ASD, ADHD, anxiety, trauma and related diagnoses. We recognise that every student is different, yet equal, and all staff are committed to treating each young person inclusively, with compassion and understanding.

The successful applicant will be a member of the team responsible for strategic management of our current and future schools both within Hereford and eventually in other parts of the country.
We are looking for someone who:
· Is an experienced and qualified headteacher; or is an experienced deputy head who has worked across multiple settings and is willing to undertake the NPQH upon starting.
· Has knowledge of SEND and therapeutic practice
· Can actively and successfully manage the complexities of a SEND therapeutic school over more than one site.
· Is progressive and highly motivated
· Puts safeguarding at the heart of everything they do and has Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) experience
· Has a commitment to an imaginative, inspiring and challenging curriculum which supports all children and staff to achieve the highest standards
· Can continue to develop our whole staff team to provide the best curriculum and safest environments in which all children learn and thrive, to include sharing resources, staff knowledge and expertise, and financial management
· Has excellent organisation and interpersonal skills
The closing date for applications is Friday 21st February, and interviews will be held starting week commencing Monday 24th February.
