Job details

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated individual with a passion for supporting teaching to join our experienced and friendly team. We are a mainstream primary school with a specialist resource base as part of our school - the Language and Communication Centre (LCC), which supports children who have a diagnosis of autism or severe speech, language, and communication difficulties. Further information can be found on our school website. This post is to work across both the mainstream school and LCC.

The successful applicant will:

  • have excellent communication skills
  • be a team player
  • hardworking, calm, and reliable
  • have experience of supporting children of all abilities within a classroom environment
  • be able to use their own initiative to differentiate tasks and activities according to the needs and abilities of the children in the group
  • have excellent interpersonal skills with pupils, staff, parents and other professionals
  • either have experience of using Signing/PECs/Schedules or will be willing to undertake training in this area; this is desirable but not essential
