The Management Committee for Herefordshire Pupil Referral Service (HPRS) is seeking to appoint an experienced administrator as Clerk to Governors as soon as possible. We are looking for a reliable, well organised individual, who can work to deadlines under their own initiative, whilst providing administrative support to the Management Committee.
The successful candidate will be required to:
· Prepare and distribute agendas and additional documents for full management committee and sub-committee meetings.
· Take and distribute accurate, concise minutes.
· Co-ordinate the management committee in an efficient manner.
· Provide administrative support and work closely with the Chair of Governors.
· Keep statutory records up to date.
· Maintain records on policies and review dates.
· Provide procedural and legislative advice to the board.
Apart from the actual meetings, the role can be carried out remotely to suit the needs of post holder. There are currently five full management committee meetings, and between six and nine sub-committee meetings per academic year.
The post holder will need to be flexible regarding working hours and days, as this is dependent on the meeting schedule. At present, all meetings take place outside of school hours.
The salary has been calculated as an average of 4 hours per week, term-time only, however most hours would be worked on and around meeting dates.
