Casual Contract, Term Time Only

Immediate start – HC3, £12.45 per hour

Herefordshire Pupil Referral Service (HPRS) is looking for a skilled and experienced relief driver to join our team to help transport pupils to and from school, as well as to off-site education placements at various locations in Herefordshire.

We are looking for a flexible and professional individual who is confident in transporting young people aged 11 – 16. A clean driving licence is required. Our vehicles are people carriers, seating up to 9 passengers, so a minibus licence is NOT essential requirement for this role.

HPRS always recruit a high standard of staff therefore successful candidates must be able to show enthusiasm, pride and commitment to their work. Going out on the open road as a school driver, you'll work on your own initiative and take ownership of your vehicle on its travels, conducting the necessary checks and driving various routes with the ultimate responsibility for pupil safety.

·       you have previous experience of transporting young people

·       you have enthusiasm and a strong commitment to safeguarding and welfare of all pupils

·       you have the ability to relate well to pupils, parents and staff

·       you have a sense of humour

·       you have high expectations of pupil behaviour

·       you are a good timekeeper, flexible, accommodating and a team player

·       you have a full, clean driving licence
