The Archdiocese of Cardiff, Herefordshire Local Authority, and the Governors of Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School warmly invite applications for a Year 6 Class Teacher to join our dedicated, caring and faith filled school community as part of a maternity cover position.
Our Lady’s is a vibrant, joyful, one-form-entry Catholic school with just under 200 pupils. We are proud of our strong sense of community, supportive families, and the loving, inclusive environment that helps every child flourish academically, socially and spiritually. You do not need to be Catholic to teach at our school, but we ask that you support our Christian values.
Role Overview
As a Class Teacher at Our Lady’s, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning, supporting pupils’ academic, social and spiritual development, and contributing positively to the wider life of the school.
Your role will include:
• Delivering engaging, creative and well‑structured lessons
• Providing high‑quality, inclusive teaching that enables every child to succeed
• Fostering positive relationships with pupils, families and the wider school community
• Supporting pupils’ academic, social, emotional and spiritual development
• Modelling the values and ethos of our Catholic school
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider life of the school

• Are an excellent teacher who can motivate, inspire and challenge pupils
• Have experience of teaching in Key Stage 2
• Have experience of supporting pupils with SEND
• Are reflective, creative and open to new ideas

• Communicate effectively and build strong relationships
• Are willing to uphold the Christian values of our school
