Peterchurch Primary School sits at the heart of our rural community and is based in the beautiful Golden Valley in between Hereford and Hay on Wye. This is a Breakfast Club and/or After School Club position at a school where children learn in a positive, caring and inclusive environment. Peterchurch Primary was recognised by OFSTED as a Good school in March 2024. 

Our Headteacher and governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Breakfast Club and/or After School Club assistant to provide children with a healthy nutritional breakfast/snack/meal, before/after school care and appropriate play activities. We would like to hear from you if:

  • you have previous experience of working with children
  • you have enthusiasm and a strong commitment to achievement, safeguarding and welfare of all children
  • you have excellent communication skills and uphold professional behaviours at all times
  • you have a sense of humour, and the ability to inject fun into learning
  • you have high expectations of pupil behaviour
  • you are flexible, accommodating and a positive team player
  • desirable if you have training in first aid and enhanced DBS.

Peterchurch Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
