The Governors would like to appoint a Student & Family Support Worker who will be able to provide appropriate care and guidance to our pupils and their families in early years.
The ideal candidate must be able to empathise with our pupils and their needs, and have the experience to be able to offer the correct interventions and services or signpost for support.
The successful candidate will be part of our pastoral team and will understand issues and procedures relating to:
- Child in Need
- Child Protection
- Early Help
- Looked after and previously looked after children
You will be required to work Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4pm, term time only plus five days to be worked during the holidays. These hours are open to negotiation.
A first aid qualification or the willingness to train is desirable.
Riverside Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
