Westfield School is an all age Special School for students with a range of learning difficulties, situated in the heart of the market town of Leominster, North Herefordshire. There are currently 74 pupils on roll organised between seven class groups.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, committed teacher to share the delivery of a functional curriculum to a class of 11 learners in Key stage 3. The position would suit someone experienced in a Primary delivery style, since our learning is delivered via a cross-curricular aproach.

You must have the ability and desire to work within a close-knit staff team, providing relevant learning opportunities to a diverse group of young people with particular reference to functional skills. A recognised qualification, experience or training in this area would be desirable due to the specialist nature of curriculum delivery.

Do you have:

• Proven teaching skills based on assessment for learning and creative curriculum design?
• Experience in assessing and tracking pupils' progress to ensure maximum success?

• Experience in functional skills specific to our cohort, and relevant communication strategies?
