Job details
Westfield School is an all-age Special School for students with wide ranging learning difficulties, situated in the heart of Leominster. There are currently 74 pupils on roll organised between seven class groups.
We are seeking an experienced teacher to cover the maternity leave of our Early Years/ Key Stage 1 teacher. This is a key post, welcoming our youngest pupils into school, some for the first time, and would suit someone experienced in a Nursery/EYFS setting, with relevant SEND experience and insight.
A recognised qualification, experience or training in this area would be essential due to the specialist nature of curriculum delivery and pupil cohort.
We are looking for people who have:
- Proven teaching skills based on assessment for learning and creative curriculum design within EYFS
- Experience in assessing and tracking pupils' progress to ensure maximum success, ideally including the Reception Baseline Assessment
- Experience in skills specific to our cohort, including delivering EHCP outcomes, and relevant communication strategies
