Westfield School is a vibrant, nurturing all‑through special school for pupils with Severe and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (SLD/PMLD) in the heart of Leominster. Our learners range from early years through to post‑16, each with unique strengths, interests, and needs. As our school continues to thrive, we are seeking an experienced, passionate, and highly skilled class teacher to join our dedicated team. The appointed teacher’s age group and curricular specialism will be matched to their personal strengths, experience, and professional aspirations.
The Role
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Has substantial teaching experience, ideally within a special school or a setting supporting pupils with SLD, PMLD, or complex needs
- Brings creativity, warmth, and resilience to the classroom
- Can lead a class team effectively, inspiring support staff through clear communication and collaborative practice
- Adapts teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learning profiles, communication needs, and sensory requirements
- Values a multi‑disciplinary approach and works positively with therapists, families, and external professionals
- Is reflective, proactive, and committed to continuous professional development
- Embodies our ethos of high expectations, dignity, and inclusion for every learner
